The true meaning of my first name "Erk"
CERN is located at 46° 13' 55.8'' North, 6° 2' 55.2'' East.
At CERN, I'm working in the RF group of the AB Department, where I'm responsible of the section "Synchrotrons RF". But primarily, I'm still working on the Drive Beam Accelerator for the CTF3 project. It shall accelerate an electron current of 3.5 A to around 180 MeV/c.

The CLIC RF power source is described in Yellow Report CERN 99-06, CLIC has her own (green+black) "Yellow" Report (CERN 2000-008).
The Minutes of the CTF3 working group meetings are here.
Formerly, my project swere the 40 MHz and 80 MHz cavities for LHC.
Other fields of interest are the operation of the PS Booster. Some time ago, I've looked with some colleagues at the problems of RF leakage through the LHC liner perforations.

This is where I went to school (1967-1976). I received my Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering from TU Braunschweig, my Dr.-Ing. from TU-HH.

I live in a place called "Vers les bois" in the "Commune de Peron".
